Sophia Noriega paced the Eagles to a 4th place finish and the first NAIA team to finish at The Mustang Invitational hosted by the Master's University in Santa Clarita, California on Saturday morning.
Noriega ran a controlled race and finished 7th overall with a time of 22:17 for her 5K. Next for ERAU was
Taryn Janssen who finished in 22:42.10 which put her in 14th.Â
Mia Kemp also finished in the top 20 for the Eagles with a time of 22:46.80.Â
Makenna Bray and
Zoe Tizard finished half a second apart with Bray running in 23:17.10 and Tizard in 23:17.70.Â
Carlee Murphy was just behind them finishing in 23:19.70. Coming in 34th place overall was
Heidi Donovan with a time of 23:22.60. Â
Also running for ERAU was
Elyse Grant. Grant covered the course in 23:44.70.Â
Kylie Monson and
Tiffany Terry finished a second apart with Monson coming across the line in 24:29.4 and Terry in 24:30.20.Â
Fionnula Carew ran her race in 24:48.10. Next for the Eagles was
Ariela Lerner with a time of 26:29.9.Â
Kennedy Munoz finished in 27:46.9 and
Mia Sanchez rounded out ERAU with a time of 30:10.40. Â
Embry-Riddle will race again on Saturday, October 4th at the ACU Firestorm Invitational.
