Despite a strong defensive effort and several promising chances, Embry-Riddle came up just short in a 1–0 loss to Carroll College (MT) on Sunday evening at home.

The Eagles held Carroll scoreless through the first 77 minutes, with goalkeeper Alex Bissett anchoring the back line and recording six saves on the day. However, a late goal in the 78th minute by Carroll's Nils Benning, assisted by Elias Schledowez, proved to be the difference.

Embry-Riddle generated 12 shots, including four on target, with Nitai Bental and Sean Maguire leading the attack. Christopher Cruz and Aleksandar Mihajlovic also tested Carroll's keeper Juan Muniz Navarrete, who finished with four saves and the clean sheet.

The match was physical throughout, with the Eagles drawing four yellow cards and committing 11 fouls. Despite the intensity, Embry-Riddle stayed competitive and created seven corner kick opportunities, matching Carroll's total.

Bissett's performance in goal kept the Eagles within striking distance, and the team showed resilience against a Carroll squad that poured on 18 second-half shots.
