Embry-Riddle used a balanced team effort on Thursday evening against OUAZ in the Activity Center and came away with a 69-54 win.
Noah Gifft delivered a spectacular offensive performance, pouring in 23 points on 8-for-12 shooting, including a blistering 6-for-9 from three-point range. He scored 11 points in the first 20 minutes and continued to stretch the Spirit's defense with deep-range rhythm shots throughout the second half. His four threes after the break helped the Eagles maintain full control.
Embry-Riddle showcased impressive efficiency across its rotation:
- Peter Dress recorded a strong double-double style line with 12 points and 11 rebounds, anchoring the interior.
- Christian Wells added 9 points, including a first-half triple that fueled ERU's 8–0 start.
- Matur Dhal gave the Eagles a physical presence inside with 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
- Jacey Canalin did everything at the point—5 points, 10 assists, and relentless defensive pressure.
The Eagles opened the game scorching hot from long distance, hitting 7 of 13 threes in the first half. After grabbing an early 8–0 advantage, Embry-Riddle forced a Spirit timeout and never looked back.
OUAZ briefly cut the deficit to two, but Gifft, Wells, and Dress continued to answer. A late three from
Conner Ivy before the halftime buzzer pushed ERAU's lead to 35–26.
Embry-Riddle came out firing after the break, as Gifft canned another deep three just 19 seconds into the half. Within the first three minutes, the Eagles had their largest lead of the night at 17 points, fueled by a Gifft triple, a Dhal layup, and another transition finish from Canalin.
OUAZ never drew closer than 11 the rest of the way. ERAU's defense was equally critical—forcing 10 turnovers, limiting the Spirit to 36.2% shooting, and holding OUAZ to just 4-for-19 from behind the arc.
ERAU will play their final home game of the season on Saturday against Benedictine Mesa at 3pm.
