Embry-Riddle put together one of its most complete performances of the season on Saturday afternoon, surging past Benedictine Mesa 60–45 in the Activity Center.
The opening 10 minutes were even at 13–13, but Embry-Riddle nudged in front by halftime, 27–22, by defending without fouling and owning the glass. The Eagles then edged the third frame 13–9 to build a 40–31 cushion entering the fourth. From there, ERAU closed the door—finishing on a 20–14 run—to secure the double-digit road win.
ERAU's depth swung the game. The Eagles' bench pumped in 29 points, highlighted by
Riley Morris-Rexford (10 points, 8 rebounds) and
Abby Dean (9 points), while
Morgan Evenson added
9 points in efficient minutes. Their collective surge keyed a 12-minute stretch that pushed the lead into double figures and kept it there.
Embry-Riddle finished 22-for-54 (.407) from the field and 5-for-16 (.313) from three, pairing that efficiency with a 43–29 rebounding advantage and timely half-court execution late. The fourth quarter featured rim pressure (layups, second-chance points) plus a timely triple from
Kapomaika'i Nakakura that helped break the game open.
