Embry-Riddle put together one of its most complete offensive performances of the season on Saturday afternoon, defeating Life Pacific 79–69 on the road at the Activity Center. The Eagles shot a scorching 58% from the field and 52.6% from three while holding the Warriors without a single lead change after the opening minute of play.
The Eagles established control early, using a 38-point first half powered by hot shooting from the perimeter. ERAU opened the game hitting 6-of-10 from three in the opening period and carried a 38–29 halftime lead into the locker room.
Embry-Riddle ramped it up even further after the break, shooting 62.5% in the second half, and stretched the lead to as many as 22 points with just under three minutes remaining.
All five starters and multiple reserves contributed meaningfully in a true team win:
- Noah Gifft led the Eagles with 18 points, knocking down three triples and adding 6 rebounds.
- Isaiah Wong provided a major spark off the bench, scoring 13 points, including a perfect 7-for-10 from the free-throw line, and added two assists and a steal.
- Jacey Canalin tallied 11 points, dished out two assists, and added two steals, pacing the offense and pushing tempo.
- Peter Dress and Christian Wells each added 11 points, combining for five made threes and strong perimeter defense.
- Ethan Macken chipped in 7 points and 7 rebounds, giving the Eagles toughness and second-chance opportunities.
While the offense carried the headlines, the Eagles' defensive pressure played a critical role:
- ERAU forced 14 Life Pacific turnovers, converting them into 20 points.
- The Eagles limited the Warriors to 40.7% shooting and just 18 points in the paint.
- Embry-Riddle held Life Pacific without a three-point attempt for long stretches, keeping the Warriors at just 6 made threes overall.
Embry-Riddle will head to Riverside next week to play La Sierra with tip off scheduled for 8:30pm on Thursday evening.
