POMONA, Calif. — Embry-Riddle scored twice in the opening 18 minutes and added a second-half goal to secure a 3-0 victory over Life Pacific on Saturday.
Aleksandar Mihajlovic opened the scoring in the ninth minute with his first goal of the season. Sean Maguire doubled the Eagles' advantage in the 18th minute, giving Embry-Riddle a 2-0 lead at halftime.
The Eagles added to their lead in the 58th minute when a Life Pacific own goal made it 3-0.
Embry-Riddle controlled the match offensively, outshooting Life Pacific 14-4 and placing nine shots on goal. Nitai Bental led the Eagles with three shots, while Maguire and Mars Davis each added two attempts.
Goalkeeper Sam Macdonald made three saves to record the shutout before Stav Shaham took over for the final 13 minutes.
ERAU will host Soka on Thurday for a 7:30pm kickoff at Varsity Field in Prescott.
