Dorn and Anderson Head to National Championships

GULF SHORES, Ala. – Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Ariz.) women's distance track is on their way to the 2019 NAIA Women's Outdoor Track and Field National Championships but they will be in short supply of teammates as just two Eagles are competing.

Not surprisingly, Keili Dorn (SR/Kailua Kona, Hawaii) has qualified for the national championship; she has qualified every year at ERAU. She will attempt to better her 13th place finish from 2018 in the 5,000m race. Dorn qualified for the event by turning in a time of 17:20.8 at the Occidental Distance Carnival in March. In her final cross-country race of her career, Dorn finished as the 16th fastest runner at the NAIA Cross Country Championships.

The only other Eagle competing on the women's side is Ariana Anderson (FR/Torrance, Calif.) who has been knocking time off her 5000m times all season. Anderson was a force for the cross-country team turning in the fastest times in California Pacific Conference history but has had to adjust to the track. She qualified at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite in April turning in a 17:39.84.

Follow along the Eagles LIVE as they get started on Friday (5/24) night. Dorn and Anderson will run in the trials of the 5,000m at 4:10 pm MST and depending on their finishes would run on the final day (5/25) at 3:30 pm MST
