VERRADO, ARIZ. – The Embry-Riddle women's golf team had an excellent performance in its final event of the Fall, as they won the Firestorm Fall Invitational. Three Eagle golfers finished inside of the top four, and all five golfers finished inside of the top 20.
Kaetlin Halseth finished second in the tournament, as she had a great pair of rounds. She shot a 73 in the opening round on Monday, and finished with a 74 on Tuesday, posting top two rounds on each day.
Libby Axen was right behind, finishing third with a 154 (+10). Axen's best round was a 75 on Monday, which was tied for the third-best round on the opening day.
Cami Culp posted a 75 herself in the final round of the tournament, and jumped up the individual leaderboard on Tuesday. The great performance in the final 18 holes allowed her to finish tied for fourth overall.
Hannah Spiller was consistent in both rounds, posting matching 83s to finish tied for 14th. Lois Sheaffer guaranteed a top-20 finish for all ERAU golfers, as she had an 84 in the second round to jump up the individual leaderboard and finish 19th.
After a very successful Fall that saw ERAU win its last three tournaments, the Eagles will be off until the turn of the calendar year. Embry-Riddle's next competition will be on February 20, 2023 when they head to Boulder City, Nev. for the Oklahoma City University Spring Invite.
