Box Score Embry-Riddle shot 42.6% from the field, but #11 Concordia shot 50% and 55.2% from three to beat ERAU 94-70 in the Activity Center on Monday night.
After the first quarter, the Eagles were down 19-7 as they struggled shooting from the floor. Susie Reynoso (Escondido, Calif.) and Aryana Gonzales (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) led ERAU with two points each. In the second quarter, Embry-Riddle battled back as they outscored the Bulldogs 21-15. ERAU was up and down the floor as Reynoso added nine more points and Ella Schott (Cave Creek, Ariz.) scored four. At the half, the score was Bulldogs 34 Eagles 28.
Concordia only missed one three point shot in the third quarter as they went 6-7 for a 85.7% from three to start the second half. ERAU was outscored 31-16 in the 3rd quarter and the Bulldogs took a big lead into the final quarter of the game. Nicole Evenson (Bemidji, Minn.) scored nine points in the fourth quarter as she made three shots from beyond the arc. Grace Meshanko (Fairfax, Va.) and Kate McBride (Atlanta, Ga.) each added seven points off the bench for the Eagles.
Embry-Riddle will play again tomorrow in the Cactus Classic held at Chandler Gilbert Community College in Phoenix. ERAU will play Montana State-Northern at 8:00pm.
