Embry-Riddle, currently ranked #15 and Hope International who is ranked #21 played to a 0-0 tie on Varsity Field in Prescott on Saturday evening.
The Eagles and Royals were evenly matched in a back and forth fast paced game. In the first half, Hope International seemed to have more of the possession and control the tempo of the game, but that all changed in the second half.
ERAU took control and managed to put seven shots on goal in the final 45 minutes.
Kari Kasun (Prescott, Ariz.),
Sophia Bohon (Surprise, Ariz.),
Rae Yoshioka (Pearl City, Hawaii) and
Jamie Black (Tucson, Ariz.) all challenged the Royals goalkeeper who was up to the task. The two goalkeepers,
Annabelle Ruckle (Phoenix, Ariz.) and Haley Slouka for the Royals both made some incredible saves to keep the score tied.
Embry-Riddle will be home again on Thursday October 17th for a match up with Benedictine Mesa with kickoff scheduled for 5:00pm.
