Bellamaria Mantini (Chandler, Ariz.) won her first collegiate golf tournament as she took the ERAU Fall Invitational title. Embry-Riddle won their 2nd straight team title as the women finished 45 strokes better than the 2nd place team. The tournament was played at Antelope Hills North Course on Monday and finished with a round at Capital Canyon Club in Prescott on Tuesday.
Mantini shot a 73 on Monday and finished with a 72 on Tuesday on the way to her individual title.
Coming in 2nd in the event was
Olivia Zamarripa (Albuquerque, New Mexico). Zamarripa shot a 79 at Antelope Hills and a 73 on Tuesday at Capital Canyon.
There was a three way tie for third place and all three golfers were Eagles.
Maisy Alsen (Gilbert, Ariz.),
Kaetlin Halseth (Kingwood, Texas), and
Charlotte Giffin (Woodinville, Wash.) all had three round scores of 152 in the event.
Victoria Ditching (Fullerton, Calif.) finished in a tie for 8th place. Ditching shot an 83 on Monday and finished with a 75 on Tuesday.
Coming in 11th was
Libby Axen (Tucson, Ariz.). Axen had a two round score of 162 for the Eagles.
Nicole Ikeda (Honolulu, Hawaii) finished the event with a score of 166 in her two rounds.
Embry-Riddle will golf again on November 4th and 5th in the Firestorm Fall Invite in Buckeye, Arizona.
