Embry-Riddle struggled to find the back of the net in their 3-0 win in Mesa on Saturday evening against the Benedictine Mesa RedHawks.
The Eagles took 49 shots and only managed to score three goals in the win.
Jamie Black (Tucson, Ariz.) opened the scoring with an assist from
Hannah Draper (Tucson, Ariz.) in the first half. At the half ERAU led 1-0.
The second half saw much of the same with Embry-Riddle continuing to create opportunities but not capitalizing on them. In the 63rd minute,
Kaitlyn Roskopf (Chino Valley, Ariz.) doubled the Eagle lead with a goal off a pass from
Jamie Brandon (Phoenix, Ariz.).
Ellie Neal (Gilbert, Ariz.) scored the last ERAU goal off of a free kick.
Embry-Riddle will host the Mustangs from the Master's University at 5pm on Wednesday on Varsity Field.
