Embry-Riddle earned a 4-1 victory over The Master's University on Varsity Field in Prescott on Wednesday evening.
In the first half, the Eagles started slow, but a goal by
Jamie Black (Tucson, Ariz.) picked up the tempo. Black used a pass from
Lauren Otto (Federal Way, Wash.) in the 13th minute and was able to put it over the goalkeeper to put ERAU up 1-0.
The score stayed that way until the second half. After
Hannah Draper (Tucson, Ariz.) was taken down in the penalty area,
Aubrie Labno (Anthem, Ariz.) converted the penalty kick to make it 2-0 in favor of ERAU.
Jamie Brandon (Phoenix, Ariz.) scored her 6th goal of the season in the 62nd minute when she headed in a pass from
Jackie Peterson (Huntington Beach, Calif.). The last Eagle goal was scored by
Rae Yoshioka (Pearl City, Hawaii) off another assist from Peterson.
The Master's scored in the 75th minute, but ERAU held on for the 4-1 win.
Embry-Riddle will host Hope International on Saturday at 5pm.
