After going down two sets to zero to Benedictine Mesa, Embry-Riddle battled back to tie the score at 2-2, but fell 15-13 in the 5th set as BenU won the amtch 3-2 in Prescott on Saturday afternoon.  

ERAU went down early in the first set and just as it seemed the Eagles would gain a little momentum, Benedictine Mesa got timely klls and took the set 25-19.  

The second set saw Benedictine Mesa dominate with a 25-16 win. Their offense was particularly effective, with Kylie Bartel and Hailey White continuing to score crucial points. The team's defense also stepped up, limiting Embry-Riddle's scoring opportunities.

Embry-Riddle turned the tide in the third set, winning 25-19. Kelly Hansen (El Dorado Hills, Calif.) and Katie Rolle (Missoula, Montana) were instrumental in this comeback, delivering powerful kills and solid blocks that disrupted Benedictine Mesa's rhythm.

The fourth set was another strong performance by Embry-Riddle, who won 25-19 again. Their defense, led by Dalia Haase (Tucson, Ariz.) and Anela Chew (Pearl City, Hawaii), was particularly effective, and they managed to capitalize on Benedictine Mesa's errors.

The fifth set was a closely contested battle, with both teams exchanging leads. Benedictine Mesa ultimately edged out Embry-Riddle 15-13. Key moments included crucial kills by Bartel and a decisive block by the team to secure the final point.

Embry-Riddle will travel to Santa Clarita this week to play The Master's University on Tuesday evening.
