Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Slow Start Leads to Eagles Loss

The Embry-Riddle Eagles faced a tough challenge on the road against the Providence Argonauts, ultimately falling 67-51 at the McLaughlin Center. Despite a valiant effort, the Eagles struggled to find their rhythm early on and couldn't overcome the deficit.

First Half Struggles

Embry-Riddle had a slow start, scoring only 8 points in the first quarter and 7 in the second. Providence's defense was stifling, holding the Eagles to just 22.2% shooting in the first quarter and 22.2% in the second. The Argonauts took advantage, building a 33-15 lead by halftime.

Second Half Resurgence

The Eagles showed resilience in the second half, particularly in the fourth quarter where they outscored Providence 22-15. Nicole Evenson (Bemidji, Minn.) led the charge off the bench, scoring 9 points, including two three-pointers. Jordyn Smith (Mount Vernon, Wash.) also contributed significantly with 8 points and 3 assists.
