In a challenging outing in the Activity Center on Wednesday evening, the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Eagles were unable to clinch a win against the #24 ranked Lewis-Clark State Warriors. The final buzzer saw the Eagles down, with a score of 79-61.
From the get-go, the match proved tough for the Eagles as they trailed at halftime with a score of 47-33. Despite a spirited effort to bridge the gap, Lewis-Clark State maintained their lead, capitalizing on their momentum to extend their advantage to as much as 22 points midway through the fourth quarter.
Top scorers for Embry-Riddle were
Zakiirah King (Chandler, Ariz.), who netted 16 points and
Sydney Mickulin (Nolensville, Tenn.), who added 11 points.Â
Despite this setback, the Eagles' season record stands at 1-1.
Embry-Riddle will head to the islands next as the Eagles visit Honolulu to take on Chaminade University on Friday the 8th at 8:30pm Arizona time. Â
