Embry-Riddle raced well at the Mangrum Invitational held at Cal State San Marcos on Friday evening as three Eagles achieved a new personal best in the 5K and Demetris Love, Jr. (Phoenix, Ariz.) qualified for NAIA Nationals in the 10,000m race.
Love, Jr. took 3rd place in the 10,000m run with a time of 31:10 which qualifies him for the NAIA National Championships which will take place in Indiana in May.
In the Men's 5K race, Ben Smith (Spokane, Wash.), Dillon Eisner (Paulden, Ariz.) and Jacob Ortiz (Chandler, Ariz.) all finished in under 15 minutes for new personal records. Smith finished with a time of 14:51, Eisner a 14:56, and Ortiz a time of 14:58.
Embry-Riddle will run again on Saturday April 6th at the Pomona Pitzer Invite in Pomona, California.
