Embry-Riddle ran well at the Oxy Distance Carnival hosted by Occidental College in Los Angeles, Calif. on Saturday highlighted by a NAIA B Standard in the 5000m race by
Dillon Eisner.
800m Race
Joseph Fox and
Carlos Soto ran the 800m race for the Eagles. Fox finished in 1:59.26 and Soto in 1:59.86.
1500m Race
Six ERAU runners ran the 1500m race led by
Jacob Ortiz. Ortiz ran the race in 4:02.84. Next was
Ben Smith in 4:12.15. Just behind him was Fox finishing in 4:12.30.
Zander Wood ran his race in 4:15..92.
Trevor Head finished in 4:20.81 and crossing the line in 4:25.93 was Soto.
5000m
13 Eagles ran the 5000m race led by Eisner. Eisner's time of 14:34.20 is a NAIA National B Standard. Smith was behind him, finishing in 15:11.01. Ortiz finished in 15:17.91.
Nathan Kutscher was next for ERAU, finishing in 15:28. Less than two seconds behind him was
Maxwell Kilstrom in 15:29.85.
Nathan Nations finished in 15:49.34 followed by
Cam Shepherd in 15:51.87.
Benjamin Kovach finished in 15:55 and right behind him was
Luca Calero in 15:57. Head crossed the finish line in 16:31.
Dave Richards, Joshua Durban, and Wood finished out the Eagles in the race. Richards ran a 16:45, Durban a 16:53, and Wood finished with a time of 17:09.
10000m Race
Nicolas Urquidez was the lone Eagle to race in the 10,000m race finishing with a time of 32:13.34.
Embry-Riddle will race again on Mrach 27th at the Mangrum Invitational.
