Demetris Love, Jr. finished his 5000m run in 14:36.13 at the Occidental Distance Carnival Spring Break Classic in Los Angeles, Calif. on Saturday which qualifies him for NAIA Nationals.
Junior, Austin Lemus (Chino, Calif.) competed in the 3000m steeplechase and finished in 10:31.43 for the Eagles.
Jacob Ortiz (Chandler, Ariz.) ran both the 1500m and 5000m. Ortiz finished first in his heat in the 1500m run with a time of 4:06.33 and finished the 5000m run in 15:02.72.
Ben Smith (Spokane, Wash.), Dillon Eisner (Paulden, Ariz.), Nick Logan (Phoenix, Ariz.), and Kyler Castro (Medical Lake, Wash.) also ran the 5000m race for Embry-Riddle. Smith finished his run in 15:01.30 and Eisner in 15:04.87. Logan finished the 5000m in a time of 15:46.10 and Castro came in with a time of 16:21.90.
Embry-Riddle will race again on March 22nd in San Marcos, Calif. in the Cal State San Marcos Mangrum Invitational.
