Embry-Riddle had two more athletes qualify for the NAIA National Championships during the first day at the Cal Pac Conference Championships hosted by Soka University in Aliso Viejo, Calif. Nick Logan (Phoenix, Ariz.) qualified in the 3000m steeplechase and Dillon Eisner (Paulden, Ariz.) qualified in the 10000m race.
Logan finished second in the 3000m steeplechase. Austin Lemus (Chino, Calif.) finished in the event in 5th and Kyler Castro (Medical Lake, Wash.) took 6th for the Eagles.
In the 10000m race, Eisner took 1st place. He was followed by Ben Smith (Spokane, Wash.) in 4th and Castro who finished 5th in the event.
The 4x800 team of Logan, Lemus, Castro, and Jacob Ortiz (Chandler, Ariz.) finished in 2nd.
Embry-Riddle will finish the rest of the events beginning at noon tomorrow at the Soka University track.
