Eagles Win Two in Louisiana

Embry-Riddle won their morning match 3-0 over Texas Wesleyan and finished the day with a 3-1 win over the hosts, Loyola 3-1 in New Orleans on Friday.

Game 1
In the first game of the day, the Eagles took the first set 25-20, the second 25-23, and finished the match with a 25-20 win in the final set.    

As a team Embry-Riddle hit .233 for the match and held TWU to .113 hitting percentage. 

Dalia Haase (Tucson, Ariz.) led the Eagles with 11 kills and five blocks.  Katie Rolle (Missoula, Mont.) finished with 33 assists and four blocks and Lily Figgins (St. Charles, Mo.) led the team in digs with 12. 

Game 2

After winning the first set 25-19, ERAU lost the second 25-21 before coming back to win the third 25-13, fourth 25-19 and take the match from Loyola New Orleans 3-1.

Emma Barber (Goodyear, Ariz.) led Embry-Riddle in the second match with 14 kills and also contributed three blocks.  Rolle and Haase both continued their hot start to the season as Rolle had nine kills, four blocks, and 34 assists.  Haase added in nine kills and led the team in blocks with six as she finished the day with 11.  Hie Loui (Honolulu, Hawaii) was great behind the line with three service aces. 

Embry-Riddle will finish out their time in the French Quarter on Saturday morning as the Eagles take on Webber International at 7:00am Arizona time.
