Embry-Riddle continued their dominant run through the conference season with a decisive 3-0 win over OUAZ on Thursday evening at home.
Embry-Riddle wasted no time asserting control, outshooting the Spirit 36-4 and earning 10 corner kicks to OUAZ's 2. The Eagles' relentless attack paid off early when Jamie Brandon opened the scoring in the 17th minute, capitalizing on sustained pressure in the final third.
After a flurry of chances and saves by OUAZ goalkeeper Jordan Gentile, who finished with an impressive 14 saves, the Eagles broke through again in the second half. Tessa Updegraff doubled the lead in the 61st minute with a composed finish, and just over a minute later, Kari Kasun sealed the win with a third goal, capping off a dominant stretch of play.
On the defensive end, Aubrianne Dupre recorded a clean sheet with 2 saves, backed by a backline that allowed just 4 total shots and only 3 on target. The Eagles' midfield, led by Samantha Wright and Molly Newlin, controlled possession and tempo throughout the match.
Embry-Riddle's depth was also on display, with 20 players contributing minutes and maintaining intensity across both halves.
ERAU will be home again on Saturday to take on Arizona Christian with kickoff scheduled for 5pm.
