Eagles Soar Past Park-Gilbert with Second-Half Surge

Embry-Riddle continued their successful ways in conference play with a thrilling 4-2 comeback victory over Park-Gilbert on Tuesday evening at AZ Athletic Grounds.

Despite trailing 1-0 just 23 seconds into the match after a quick strike from Park-Gilbert's Lauren Runnion, the Eagles regrouped and dominated the second half, scoring four goals to secure the win.

Second-Half Turnaround

Embry-Riddle came out of halftime with renewed energy. Just over a minute into the second half, Kari Kasun netted the first goal of the game for ERAU off an assist from Jamie Brandon to level the score. Moments later, Jamie Black added another, assisted by Samantha Wright, giving the Eagles a 2-1 lead.

Park-Gilbert briefly tied the match at 2-2 in the 71st minute with a goal from Mikenzie Kulish, but the Eagles responded swiftly. Molly Newlin scored in the 77th minute, followed by a second goal from Jamie Brandon just two minutes later, assisted by Kasun, sealing the 4-2 victory.
