Embry-Riddle continued its dominant run through the regular season with a commanding 6–1 victory over La Sierra University on Thursday evening.
Tessa Updegraff led the charge with a hat trick, scoring in the 4th, 28th, and 81st minutes to cap off a stellar performance. Her first goal came off a well-placed assist from Natalia Sepulveda, setting the tone early for the Eagles.
Embry-Riddle wasted no time building their lead, as Jamie Black found the back of the net in the 10th minute, assisted by Jamie Brandon, followed by Updegraff's second goal and a solo strike from Sachie Ilae in the 30th minute to make it 4–0.
La Sierra managed to pull one back in the 39th minute through Leslie Lopez, but the Eagles responded swiftly in the second half. Kari Kasun added her name to the scoresheet in the 50th minute, and Updegraff completed her hat trick in the 81st minute to seal the win.
Embry-Riddle outshot La Sierra 22–5, with 15 shots on goal compared to just 2 for the hosts. Goalkeepers Aubrianne Dupre and Maile Kahele split time in net, with Kahele recording the lone save for the Eagles in the second half.
ERAU will host the GSAC Conference Semifinals on Saturday, November 8th.
