Eagles Move to 5-0 in GSAC

Embry-Riddle continued to play well with a 2-0 road victory over The Master's University on Saturday afternoon at Reese Field.

The Eagles wasted no time asserting themselves, scoring twice in the opening 20 minutes and holding firm defensively to secure their fifth conference win and maintain their unbeaten record.

Sophomore Samantha Wright opened the scoring in the 12th minute, finishing a well-placed pass from Kari Kasun for her first goal of the season. Just six minutes later, Tessa Updegraff doubled the lead with a composed strike off an assist from Jamie Brandon, marking her second goal of the year.

Embry-Riddle's defense was stellar throughout, anchored by goalkeeper Aubrianne Dupre, who recorded seven saves en route to her fourth shutout of the season. The Eagles absorbed pressure from The Master's, who managed 17 shots but couldn't break through.

Offensively, Embry-Riddle was efficient, tallying 14 shots with 10 on goal, and earning five corner kicks. Wright led the attack with three shots on goal, while Updegraff, Jamie Black, and Molly Newlin each added key chances.

ERAU will return to Prescott for a home game against Hope International on Thursday evening at 5pm.
