Embry-Riddle earned an 87-79 victory over Lewis & Clark on Saturday night at Pamplin Sports Center. The Eagles rode a hot shooting performance and a career night from guard Noah Gifft to secure the win.
Gifft was unstoppable from beyond the arc, knocking down 9-of-12 three-pointers en route to a game-high 35 points. He finished 11-for-16 from the field and added four rebounds, two steals, and four free throws in a dominant effort.
Embry-Riddle came out firing, hitting eight triples in the first half to build a 47-39 halftime lead. Gifft accounted for five of those threes, including a stretch where he scored 12 straight points to push the Eagles ahead by double digits. The team shot 56.7% from the floor and 53.3% from deep in the opening period.
Lewis & Clark battled back in the second half, trimming the deficit to three at 62-59 with 9:55 remaining. But the Eagles responded with clutch shooting—Gifft drilled two more threes, and Christian Wells added a key triple at the 4:24 mark to restore momentum. Jacey Canalin chipped in 15 points and seven assists, while Isaiah Wong contributed eight points and five assists.
Embry-Riddle finished the night shooting 52.6% overall, 50% from three (15-of-30), and 75% at the line. The Eagles also tallied 20 assists and scored 14 points off turnovers.
ERAUÂ will head to Lewiston, Idaho next week to play Eastern Oregon on Friday evening.Â
