Embry-Riddle put on an offensive clinic Saturday afternoon, rolling past Park-Gilbert 91–72 at the ERAU Activity Center. The Eagles improved to 7–5 overall, while earning their first conference victory.
ERAU came out firing, shooting an incredible 63.3% from the field in the first half to build a commanding 49–34 lead at the break. The Eagles never trailed and pushed their advantage to as many as 25 points in the second half.
Balanced Attack Leads the Way
- Noah Gifft paced the Eagles with 18 points and 5 assists, hitting clutch shots in both halves.
- Jacey Canalin added 16 points and 5 assists, while Matur Dhal was perfect from the floor (7-for-7) en route to 15 points and 8 rebounds.
- Peter Dress chipped in 11 points and 6 boards, and Isaiah Wong contributed 9 points with two big threes.
- Off the bench, Christian Wells (10 pts) and Lex Clontz (6 pts) provided key sparks.
Team Highlights
- ERAU shot a blistering 61.0% from the field and 34.8% from three-point range.
- The Eagles dominated inside with 50 points in the paint and controlled the glass with 36 rebounds.
- ERAU dished out 17 assists and scored 18 points off turnovers, showcasing their efficiency and defensive pressure.
Park-Gilbert was led by Toate Sika (17 pts) and Tyson Banks (12 pts), but the Buccaneers couldn't keep pace with ERAU's offensive rhythm.
The Eagles will play again on Thursday at 3pm at the Cactus Classic.
