Box Score Mehgan Strickler got things started for Embry-Riddle with a three point basket as the Eagles led from start to finish against Life Pacific on Thursday evening in California and went on to win 56-48.
ERAU made five three point baskets in the first quarter as Strickler,
Sydney Mickulin,
Hannah Urbano each made one and
Ella Schott made two threes to put the Eagles up 18-9 after one quarter.
In the second.quarter, both offenses got off to a slow start with no points scored until there was 5:43 left in the half.
Micaela Hidalgo made a jump shot followed by a three from
Nicole Evenson and another three from Schott to extend the Embry-Riddle lead to 15 points. At halftime, ERAU led 30-18 over Life Pacfic.
Embry-Riddle outscored the Warriors 15-12 in the 3rd quarter led by
Zakiirah King. King made four free throws in the quarter.
Schott led the Eagles with 10 points, Strickler added 9 points and 9 rebounds, and King finished with 7 points.
Life Pacific tried to make a comeback in the final quarter, but ERAU held on for the 56-48 victory.
Embry-Riddle will have some time off before the Eagles play again in October of 2025.
