In the first meet of the 2025 Distance Track season for Embry-Riddle, the Eagles ran well as they competed in the Mile, 800m run and 3000m run at the NAU Tune Up in Flagstaff on Friday evening. Â
Mile Run
Zoe Tizard ran a personal best in the mile as she finished the race in 3rd place with a time of 5:21.79. Her previous best time was 5:44.76. Finishing in 7th was
Elyse Grant with a time of 5:45.27.Â
Tiffany Terry, Mia Kemp, and Makenna Bray all finished right in a row. Terry finished wth a time of 5:50.86, Kemp a time of 5:51.20, and Bray 5:52.94.Â
Rae Yoshioka finished in 13th with a time of 5:58.37.Â
Fionnula Carew got a personal best time of 6:06.59 bettering her time by 14 seconds.Â
Kamryn Hoehne finished the race in 6:15.63 for the Eagles. Â
800m Run
Yoshioka led ERAU in the 800 finishing in 16th with a time of 2:36.78. Following her was Grant who finished in 2:38.23. Bray and Hoehne rounded out the Eagle finishers with times of 2:52.97 and 2:55.72. Â
3000m Run
Tizard finished 2nd in the 3000m run for the Eagles. She finished with time of 11:03.54 which was her second personal best time of the day. Tizard beat her previous best 3000m time by 57 seconds. Kemp finished in 4th with a time of 11:32.81 followed by Terry in 6th with a 11:55.80. Carew also ran a personal best with a time of 12:42.74. She beat her PR by 9 seconds to finish in 9th in the race. Â
Embry-Riddle will be back on the track on March 8th as the Eagles head to the Oxy Distance Carnival in Eagle Rock, California. Â
