Embry-Riddle saw six personal bests times in two different events as the Eagles ran well at the Ross and Sharon Irwin Invitational hosted by Point Loma University in San Diego on Saturday.
1500M
Jacob Ortiz, Nick Logan, Ben Smith, Dillon Eisner, and
Nathan Kutscher all ran personal best times in the 1500m race.
Ortiz and Logan both broke the 4 minute mark. Ortiz ran the 1500 in 3:57.44 and Logan in 3:59.24. Smith ran the race in 4:04.51. Eisner finished in 4:06.54 and was followed closely by Kutscher in 4:07.81.
Cam Shepard finished the 1500 in 4:16.32 for the Eagles.
800M
Not only did Logan break his previous 1500M personal best time, but he also did so in the 800. Logan finished the race in 1:57.72. Following him was Ortiz who finished in 1:58.11. Kutscher was the third Eagle to finish in a time of 2:06.25. Smith ran the race in 2:07.13 and Shepard finished with a time of 2:08.21.
5000M
Nicolas Urquidez led ERAU in the 5000 with a time of 15:44.38.
Maxwell Kilstrom ran the race in 16:14.01.
Benjamin Kovach was behind him with a time of 16:22.66.
Austin Lemus finished his race in 17:24.08 for the Eagles.
Embry-Riddle will race again on March 28th at the Mangrum Invitational in San Marcos, California.
