Embry-Riddle took two games from Benedictine Mesa on Wednesday afternoon to finish out the four game series that had to be postponed due to the weather.  ERAU won game one 14-7 and followed with a 7-2 victory.  

Game 1

Game Highlights:

• First Inning: Benedictine Mesa took an early lead with B. Ayala's single to left field, followed by A. Jenkins' RBI single, bringing Ayala home. However, Embry-Riddle's defense quickly tightened, ending the inning with a double play and a strikeout.

• Second Inning: Embry-Riddle exploded with a seven-run inning, capitalizing on Benedictine Mesa's errors and timely hits. Lily Anderson's three-RBI double was a standout moment, driving home Aryanna Garcia, Alexus Marquez, and Katie Jamieson. The inning ended with Embry-Riddle firmly in control.

• Third Inning: Benedictine Mesa fought back with a two-run double by G. Perez, but Embry-Riddle's defense held strong, preventing further scoring.

• Fourth Inning: Benedictine Mesa continued to chip away at the lead, scoring four runs, including an RBI single by A. Chiago. Despite their efforts, Embry-Riddle maintained their lead with a three-run inning, highlighted by Jade Bayless' two-RBI single.

• Fifth Inning: Embry-Riddle extended their lead with four more runs, including a two-RBI double by Leah Salas and an RBI single by Bayless. Benedictine Mesa struggled to respond, going scoreless in the inning.

• Sixth Inning: Benedictine Mesa's offense was stifled by Embry-Riddle's defense.

• Seventh Inning: Embry-Riddle's defense sealed the victory, with Claire Streeter striking out two batters and forcing a flyout to end the game.

Vanessa Brink earned the win in game one moving her record on the season to 9-0.  

Game 2

Game Highlights:

• First Inning: Embry-Riddle took an early lead with Salas' single and subsequent score on Sulusi's RBI single. J. Bayless also scored an unearned run, giving Embry-Riddle a 2-0 lead.

• Second Inning: Embry-Riddle extended their lead with three more runs.  Anderson and Kayli Clark's singles set the stage for Salas' walk, loading the bases. Sulusi walked, bringing home  Anderson, followed by Kealey Myhre's sacrifice fly and Jamieson's RBI single, making it 5-0.

• Third Inning: Embry-Riddle added another run with Bayless' RBI single, bringing the score to 6-0.

• Fourth Inning: Benedictine Mesa fought back, scoring two runs on an error by the Eagle defense. Despite their efforts, Embry-Riddle maintained their lead.

• Fifth Inning: Embry-Riddle's Salas hit a solo home run, extending the lead to 7-2.

• Sixth Inning: Benedictine Mesa's offense was stifled by Embry-Riddle's defense, with Claire Streeter striking out two batters and forcing a groundout to end the inning.

• Seventh Inning: Embry-Riddle's defense sealed the victory, with Streeter forcing two groundouts and a flyout to end the game.
  
   

Embry-Riddle will be off this weekend before the Eagles host Nelson University on Wednesday evening for a pair of games that begin at 4pm.
