Jacob Ortiz ran personal best times in the 1500m race and the 5000m race and
Nathan Kutscher, Cam Shepherd, and
Maxwell Kilstrom beat their previous best times in the 5000m as the Eagles raced in San Marcos as the Mangrum Invitational on Friday. Â
800m Race
Carlos Soto ran the 800 for the Eagles and came in 22nd with a time of 2:00.74.
1500m Race
Ortiz came in 10th in the 1500. Ortiz ran a personal best cutting two seconds off his previous best time finishing with a 3:55.58.
Austin Lemus finished with a 4:18.59. Â
5000m Race
Ortiz crossed the finish line with a time of 14:46.7 and in 4th place. Following him was
Ben Smith who finished with a time of 14:56.4.Â
Nicholas Logan came in 13th with a time of 15:20.65 and right behind Logan was
Kutscher. Kutscher was 14th with a time of 15:21.61.Â
Shepard came in 27th crossing the line in 15:57.93.Â
Kilstrom was the next Eagle to cross the line as he finished in 16:08.33. Finishing in 16:56.90 was
Benjamin Kovach. Â
10000m
Dillon Eisner was the lone Eagle to run the 10000m race. Eisner ran the race in 31:20 as he averaged a time of 1:15 per lap for the race. Â
Embry-Riddle will be back on the track on April 17th-18th to run in the Bryan Clay Invitational or the University of Laverne Leopard Invitational on April 17th and 18th. Â
