Embry-Riddle raced at the Oxy Distance Carnival on Saturday in Eagle Rock, California and the Eagles raced well, highlighted by a first place finish by
Dillon Eisner in the 10,000m race.
1500M Race
Jacob Ortiz and
Nick Logan both ran in the 1500m event. Despite being in two different heats, they clocked nearly identical times with Ortiz finishing in 7th with a time of 4:00.02 and Logan in 8th with a time of 4:00.03.
5000m Race
Ortiz and Logan were joined by
Ben Smith, Benjamin Kovach, and
Cam Shepherd for the 5000m race. Ortiz led they way with a 23rd place finish in a time of 14:48.34. Logan finished behind him in 15:14.17. The next Eagle across the line was Smith finishing with a time of 15:18.71. Kovach came across the line in a time of 16:01.86 and Shepherd in 16:26.57.
10,000m Race
Eisner led the way winning the race by 20 seconds as he finished in 31:16.54.
Nathan Kutscher finished in 7th with a time of 32:02.09 and
Nicolas Urquidez came in 11th as he ran the race in 32:30.54.
Embry-Riddle will be back on the track on March 15th in San Diego for the Ross and Sharon Irwin Invite.
