Embry-Riddle couldn't contain the bats of Arizona Christian as the Firestorm swept the Eagles winning game one 25-1 and the second game of the day 9-1 at Eagle Baseball Field on Saturday afternoon.
Game 1
ACU scored early and often in the first game taking advantage of a couple of defensive miscues by the Eagles and timely hitting. ERAU scored in the bottom of the 5th inning as
Sawyer Amato started the inning with a walk.
James Warren followed with a single. Amato came around to score on a single by
Owen Cain.
Warren finished game one 2-4 with two singles.
Game 2
Firestorm pitcher Payton Robertson pitched a solid 6 innings holding the Eagles to just five hits.
Konner Nelson, Warren, and
Gavin Speck each had a double in the game and
Blake Moore and
Miles Murphy each added a single. Cain picked up his second RBI on the day when Speck came around to score on a sacrifice fly.
Embry-Riddle will play their last home game of the regular season on Tuesday at 3pm against Nelson University.
