Embry-Riddle won the Great Southwest Athletic Conference Championship at Antelope Hills this week as the Eagles finished +57 in the three day event which was 38 strokes better than their closest opponent.  Bellamaria Mantini won the individual title finishing the event +5.  

Mantini shot a 77 on the first day, a 71 on the second, and finished with a 73.  She won the event by nine strokes as she led the tournament in birdies with 11, had one eagle, and made par on 26 holes.  

Finishing in second was Libby Axen.  Axen started the event with a 75, shot a 76 in the second round, and a 79 in the final round.  Axen was third in the tournament in birdies finishing with 7 and 8th in pars with 27.  

Kaetlin Halseth and Maisy Alsen finished tied for 8th place finishing the three day event at +22.  Both Halseth and Alsen got better each round.  Halseth shot an 81 in both the first and second rounds and finished with a 76. Alsen started the event with an 82, shot a 79 in the next round, and her last round score was 77.  

Olivia Zamarripa started the event with a 76 on Monday, shot an 84 on Tuesday, and finished with a score of 80.  Zamarripa had one eagle during the tournament and 6 birdies.  

As part of the awards ceremony, the GSAC All-Conference teams were announces.  Zamarripa was named the GSAC Women's Golf Freshman of the year and Mantini and Halseth were named to the GSAC All-Conference Team.  

With the GSAC win, the Eagles earn an automatic bid to the NAIA National tournament which will be held May 13th-16th at Eagle Crest Golf Club in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
