Embry-Riddle split with Benedictine Mesa on Thursday afternoon at Mesa High School with the Eagles taking game one 11-6 before losing the second game 4-9.
Game 1
Game Highlights:
Embry-Riddle's bats were on fire, accumulating 13 hits and 11 runs. The scoring started in the second inning when Roberto Garza-Nunez doubled to left field and later scored on Blake Moore's groundout. The Eagles continued their momentum in the fourth inning, with Miles Murphy doubling and scoring on another double by Garza-Nunez. Moore and Connor Rosinski contributed with singles, and an error by Benedictine Mesa allowed Embry-Riddle to score three runs.
The seventh inning was a standout for the Eagles, with James Warren tripling to right field, driving in two runs, followed by Moore's two-run homer. Embry-Riddle added two more runs in the ninth inning, thanks to a clutch single by Sawyer Stout.

In the third inning, Embry-Riddle added two more runs. Caden Truman singled to right field, and Murphy followed with another single. Warren's sacrifice bunt advanced both runners, setting the stage for Garza-Nunez's two-RBI single to center field, scoring Truman and Murphy.
The Eagles scored their final run in the fifth inning. Murphy singled again and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Warren singled to first base, moving Murphy to third. Cain's sacrifice fly to right field brought Murphy home.
