Embry-Riddle got their season off to a good start this afternoon at Buffalo Park in Flagstaff, Ariz. for the George Kyte Classic as the women came in 4th place led by sophomore
Sophia Noriega.
Noriega came in 13th place with a time of 16:02.8.
Mia Kemp was the second Eagle to cross the finish line with a time of 16:16.5 which put her in 17th place. Following Kemp was freshman
Taryn Janssen. Janssen cross the line in 16:23.5. Next for ERAU in 31st was
Zoe Tizard with a time of 16:47.4 followed by
Elyse Grant in 16:53.5.
Carlee Murphy finished the race in 16:56.2.
Tiffany Terry and
Heidi Donovan finished side by side with times of 17:45.0 and 17:45.9.
Makenna Bray was right behind them finishing in 17:52.6.
Ariela Lerner, Kennedy Munoz, and
Mia Sanchez rounded out the Eagle finishers. Lerner ran the 2.5 mile course in 19:19.4, Munoz in 21:31.2, and Sanchez in 22:24.5.
