Embry-Riddle continued their unbeaten streak with a commanding 5–0 win over Benedictine Mesa (AZ) on Thursday afternoon. The Eagles improved to 6-0-2 overall and 3-0-0 in conference play.
Embry-Riddle wasted no time asserting control, scoring three goals in the first 16 minutes. Jamie Black opened the scoring in the 5th minute, assisted by Jamie Brandon and Ava Forrester. Just one minute later, Tessa Updegraff doubled the lead off a feed from Molly Newlin, who later added a goal of her own in the 16th minute to make it 3–0.
The Eagles continued their offensive pressure in the second half. Black netted her second goal of the match in the 52nd minute, and Leah Barone capped the scoring in the 74th minute with a goal assisted by Isabella Jost.
Embry-Riddle outshot Benedictine Mesa 41–1, including 24 shots on goal. The Redhawks' lone shot came early in the match from Rylee Hatcher, saved by Eagles goalkeeper Aubrianne Dupre, who earned the shutout with one save.
ERAU will head to Legacy Sports Park to play Park Gilbert on Saturday evening at 5pm.
