Embry-Riddle put up a spirited fight on Saturday afternoon but ultimately fell in three sets to The Master's University at College of the Canyons. The Eagles dropped the match 21-25, 27-29, 21-25, moving to 7-9 overall and 1-4 in GSAC play.
Anela Chew led the Eagles offensively with 10 kills, while Emma Barber and Haeden Baker chipped in with 7 and 6 kills respectively. Barber also anchored the back row with a team-high 16 digs. Setter Alice Tuci orchestrated the offense with 29 assists and added 4 digs and a service ace to her stat line.
Hannah Clear had an efficient outing, recording 8 kills on just 16 attempts for a .438 hitting percentage, the highest on the team for the match.
Defensively, Alexis Creager contributed 18 digs, and Hie Loui added 12, helping the Eagles stay competitive in long rallies. The team totaled 68 digs and 4 block assists, with Baker and Brooke Eglinton each contributing at the net.
The Eagles will look to regroup and bounce back as they continue GSAC on Sunday at La Sierra.
