Embry-Riddle put together a dominant first-half performance and never looked back, defeating Life Pacific 76–53 on Saturday afternoon in GSAC play.
First-Half Explosion
The Eagles came out firing, shooting an incredible 68.2% from the field and 57.1% from three-point range in the opening half. Embry-Riddle built a commanding 49–33 halftime lead, fueled by sharp ball movement and perimeter shooting. The Eagles knocked down eight triples in the first 20 minutes and converted 11-of-13 free throws.
Balanced Scoring and Strong Defense
Embry-Riddle finished the game shooting 50% from the floor and 40% from deep, while holding Life Pacific to just 38.6% overall and 28% from three. The Eagles also dominated the glass with a 41–27 rebounding advantage and limited the Warriors to only 20 second-half points.
Noah Gifft led the way with a double-double, scoring 19 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, while adding four assists. Peter Dress was equally impressive with 17 points and nine boards, hitting three triples. Jacey Canalin orchestrated the offense with seven assists and chipped in 11 points, while Lex Clontz provided a spark off the bench, scoring 12 points on 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. The Eagles' bench contributed 21 points, showcasing depth and versatility.
Defensive Lockdown
Embry-Riddle forced 14 turnovers, converting them into 10 points, and held Life Pacific to just 16.7% from three in the second half. The Eagles also recorded five steals and three blocks, keeping the Warriors out of rhythm.
ERAU will play again on Thursday in the Activity Center with tip-off scheduled for 7:00pm against La Sierra.
