Eagles Move to 2-2 on Young Season

Embry-Riddle wrapped up its final day in Louisiana with a 14–2 setback against LSU Alexandria and a 9-1 loss to Louisiana Christian on Saturday afternoon at Wildcat Park.

Game 1
Despite a difficult opening inning, the Eagles showed resilience, breaking through with a two-run fourth inning and holding the Generals scoreless over their final two frames.

LSUA struck early, taking advantage of six walks and several miscues in the bottom of the first to plate 11 runs. Embry-Riddle settled in defensively afterward, with Ava Greene delivering 3.1 steady innings in relief, allowing just three earned runs and striking out four.

Offensively, the Eagles recorded their biggest momentum swing in the top of the fourth. After Briseis Ramirez reached on an error and Presley Geissinger drew a walk, Tori Tillayatz was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Anise Romo came through with Embry-Riddle's lone hit of the day—a sharp single to center—driving in two and putting ERAU on the board. Romo also added a stolen base, while Ramirez scored one of the two runs and reached base twice.

Claire Streeter made the start for the Eagles, while Greene entered in the first and worked effectively under pressure. Defensively, ERAU turned clean innings in both the fourth and fifth, highlighted by improved infield play and a composed response following LSUA's early surge.

Game 2
ERAU opened the game with quality contact, highlighted by Katie Jamieson's two-out single to right center in the first. Jade Bayless also reached in the fourth via walk as the Eagles continued to put balls in play early.

Defensively, Greene worked the circle to start for Embry-Riddle, allowing just one earned run across her 1.2 innings of work. But miscues proved costly—three errors and multiple passed balls extended innings and allowed the Wildcats to capitalize. Louisiana Christian put up seven runs in the bottom of the second, with five of them coming on a sequence that included an error-aided bases-clearing double and follow-up RBI hits.

The Eagles broke through in the third inning when Arianna Garcia doubled down the left-field line—ERAU's only extra-base hit of the afternoon. After advancing to third on a wild pitch, Garcia scored on a groundout by Ryan Da Costa, trimming the deficit to 7–1.

ERAU threatened again in the fourth after Bayless advanced to third on a wild pitch, but a pair of well-tracked flyouts ended the inning. The Eagles' offense was then held quiet in the fifth as LCU closed out the game.

The Eagles will have off for two weeks before their home opener against College of Idaho on February 16th.
