Embry-Riddle Falls on the Road to Keiser

Embry-Riddle opened Thursday's matchup at Silvester Jr. Field with early pressure on the basepaths, but the Eagles were unable to sustain momentum in a 14–0 setback to Keiser University.

The Eagles (7–7) threatened immediately in the top of the first when Konner Nelson singled and stole second—one of the team's bright moments on the day. Moments later, Miles Murphy punched a single up the middle to move Nelson to third, giving ERAU runners at the corners with no outs. But a double play and a strikeout ended the inning, and the Eagles never regained that early spark.

Offense Limited by Keiser Pitching

Embry-Riddle collected four hits on the afternoon, coming from Nelson, Murphy, James Warren, and Caden Truman. Warren added a single in the fourth, while Truman reached in the third before being picked off.

Despite the scattered hits, the Eagles couldn't break through against Keiser starter Jack Molloy, who threw a complete game with six strikeouts and no walks.

Keiser Pulls Away in Middle Innings

ERAU starter Jesse Kaphing battled through early innings, striking out eight, but Keiser broke the game open with multi-run frames in the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth. A five-run fifth inning proved especially pivotal, highlighted by a two-RBI double from Keiser's A. Balart.

Relievers Alexander Mullen and Jacob Samsing combined for the final 1.1 innings, with Samsing striking out one in his brief appearance.

The Eagles will play a doubleheader on Friday against Keiser with the the first beginning at 9AM AZ time.
