Embry-Riddle won three matches against University of Providence but dropped the dual to the Argos 30-10 in the Eagle Gym on Friday afternoon.
At 125lbs,
Jaren Kimura lost a close 1-0 decision to Kobi Johnson.Â
Landon Smith also lost a close decision up a weight class at 133lbs by a score of 4-2. ERAU had to forfeit at 141lbs which made the team score 12-0 in favor of UP. At 149lbs,
Axel Esparza lost 5-4.Â
Sam Humphrey lost by fall at 157lbs and at 165lbs,
Thomas Stadel lost by tech fall to Jalen Vladic.Â
Daniil Gorshkov picked up the first team points for the Eagles winning his match by a 7-2 decision at 174lbs. At 184lbs,
Tauataina Tuikolongahau lost 12-3 but ERAU finished with two big wins.Â
Trenton Blomquist won by major decision 12-0 at 197lbs, and
Kenneth Copley avenged an earlier loss this season at 285lbs as he won 2-1. Â
ERAU will be back in the Activity Center on Saturday evening for a dual that begins at 6pm. The team will also honor the three seniors. Â
