Game Recap: Softball |

Eagles Sweep Royals

Embry-Riddle came back in a big way Saturday, sweeping Hope International at Eagle Softball Field with scores of 10-2 and 6-0.

Game 1

ERAU's lineup was locked in from top to bottom, producing consistent pressure and big swings throughout the afternoon. The Eagles collected 15 hits, and nearly every spot in the order contributed to the scoring.

At the top, Katie Jamieson set the tone with quality at-bats and two hits, helping spark multiple scoring innings. Ryan Da Costa added a hit and scored, continuing her steady presence as a table-setter.

The middle of the order was the engine of the offense. Leah Salas delivered two more hits, including a sharply struck double, while Kealey Myhre turned in one of her strongest games of the year with three hits and a powerful home run that broke the game open. Jade Bayless matched that energy with two hits of her own, including a towering homer that energized the dugout and extended the lead. Annalie Castanon added two hits and consistently found barrels, keeping rallies alive.

Lower in the lineup, Arianna Garcia drove in runs with a well-timed extra-base hit, and Danica Quinn capped off the offensive surge with a solo home run in the sixth. Her two-hit day added even more depth to an already dangerous lineup.

In the circle, Claire Streeter backed the offense with a composed, complete-game performance, limiting Hope International to four hits and keeping the Royals off balance all afternoon.

Game 2

Embry-Riddle softball capped Saturday's doubleheader with a dominant all-around performance, shutting out Hope International 6–0 behind a one-hit masterpiece from Presley Daniel and another explosive showing from the Eagles' offense.

Daniel was in complete command from the opening pitch, allowing just one hit across seven innings while striking out one and walking only two. Her poise in the circle set the tone for a game in which Hope International never mounted a sustained threat.

ERAU's offense backed her with 13 hits, striking early and delivering a decisive five-run third inning that broke the game open. Katie Jamieson continued her standout day at the plate, collecting three hits and reaching base consistently from the leadoff spot. Ryan Da Costa added two hits, including a double, and scored a run as part of the Eagles' early surge.

In the heart of the order, Kealey Myhre stayed red-hot, turning in a 3-for-4 performance that included an RBI single and a triple. Jade Bayless added two more hits and drove in two runs, including a solo home run earlier in the game that sparked ERAU's scoring. Tori Tlilayatzi delivered a pair of RBI as well, continuing her strong production behind the plate.

ERAU's lineup showed depth and balance throughout the afternoon, with contributions from every level of the order. Leah Salas added a hit and scored, Kayli Clark reached twice, and Anise Romo and Danica Quinn helped extend innings with disciplined plate appearances.

Defensively, the Eagles were flawless, committing zero errors and backing Daniel with clean, efficient play.

Embry-Riddle will head to California this week to play Westcliff with the four game series beginning on Friday at 4pm.
