Embry-Riddle used strong pitching and timely hitting as the Eagles swept Park Gilbert on Friday 8-1 in the first game and 4-1 in the second game at Eagle Baseball Field.
Game 1
Right-hander Noah Tschopp delivered his best outing of the year, carving through the Buccaneers' lineup with six innings of one-hit, scoreless baseball while striking out five and walking just one. The document notes that he allowed only one hit across 19 at-bats and faced just 21 batters in six innings .
His efficiency kept the Eagles in control even as the offense went quiet after an early run.
Embry-Riddle struck first in the opening frame. After Miles Murphy singled and stole second, Fernando Perez-Ortega delivered an RBI single to right, scoring Murphy for a 1–0 lead.
The Eagles' offense erupted in the eighth, turning a 1–0 nail-biter into a commanding victory.
The inning began with a Perez-Ortega single and a James Warren double, putting two runners in scoring position. After an intentional walk to load the bases, Connor Rosinski ripped a two-run double to left, extending the lead to 3–0.
From there, the floodgates opened:

Konner Nelson delivered the biggest swing of the day — a three-run double to left, pushing the lead to 6–0.

Game 2
Right-hander Carson Stoller was in full command from the opening pitch, tossing a seven-inning complete game while allowing just five hits, one unearned run, and striking out six.
Embry-Riddle wasted no time getting on the board. In the first inning, Miles Murphy singled, Javier Izaguirre Jr. followed with another single, and James Warren delivered an RBI single to left.
A defensive miscue briefly allowed Park-Gilbert to even the score in the third. After a double and a passed ball, the Buccaneers scored on an error.
In the bottom of the fifth,
Caden Truman walked, advanced to third, and scored on Murphy's second hit of the game — a sharp RBI single to center.
The turning point came in the sixth when
Owen Montgomery stepped in as a pinch hitter and immediately made an impact. After
James Warren reached on an infield single and advanced to third on a throwing error, Montgomery ripped a run-scoring double to left.
Stoller returned for the seventh and calmly finished the job, striking out two and stranding two runners to secure the complete-game victory.
