Embry-Riddle showed resilience on Saturday, shaking off a difficult opener to storm back with a late offensive surge and claim Game Two of its doubleheader against OUAZ. After dropping the first contest 20–4, the Eagles responded with a composed, opportunistic 7–5 victory in the nightcap, highlighted by a five-run sixth inning and a complete-game effort on the mound.
Game One: OUAZ 20, Embry-Riddle 4
OUAZ's offense erupted early and never slowed, scoring in every inning but the fifth and seventh. Despite the lopsided score, the Eagles produced several bright spots at the plate.
Miles Murphy continued his strong season with a 3-for-4 performance, including a double and an RBI. Kaden Menard added a triple and a run scored, while James Warren delivered a two-run double in the fifth.
Embry-Riddle's best inning came in that fifth frame, when Murphy singled and Warren followed with a drive into right to plate two. But OUAZ's nine-run sixth put the game out of reach.
The Eagles totaled 11 hits, showing competitive swings throughout, but OUAZ capitalized on free passes and extra-base hits to pull away.
Game Two: Embry-Riddle 7, OUAZ 5
The second game flipped the script.
After falling behind 4–0 through two innings, the Eagles chipped away with single runs in the fourth and fifth before exploding for five runs in the sixth to seize control.
