PHOENIX, Ariz. – In their first game of the Arizona Christian University Basketball Tournament Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Ariz.) men's basketball (1-1) played a solid game but couldn't catch (22) Southern Oregon University (2-0) and would lose 77-72.

ERAU would control the first 10 minutes of the first half and had the lead up to seven. It was another good game for Gilbert Ibarra (JR/Prescott Valley, Ariz.) who scored 14 with 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Three other Eagles would contribute at least 10 points as well but they couldn't hold off the Raiders attack.

After the Eagles opened up their biggest lead the Raiders would start lighting it up from all over and there was nothing the Eagles could do to stop them. They would shoot over 50% in the first half and would not let go of their halftime lead the rest of the game. ERAU would shoot 5-7 on 3-pt attempts in the second half but it wasn't enough.

Riddle will be back in action tomorrow (11/3) when they will conclude their play in the tournament and take on York College at 2:00 p.m.
