Box Score WHITTIER, CALIF. – After a close loss the night before, the ERAU men's basketball team suffered a similar fate in the final game of its road trip on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles took on another NCAA Division III school, this time traveling to Whittier College, and dropped an 87-77 decision.
Conner Verdugo led the way scoring for the second game in a row, finishing with 17 point on Sunday. He finished 4-7 from three point range, also adding five assists and three steals.
It was another solid performance off the bench for Christmas Togiai, Jr., as he scored 13 points in 24 minutes. Togiai, Jr. finished with 60% shooting, and dished out a pair of assists to go along with three steals.
Trevor Weir played just 16 minutes, but scored 10 points, grabbed four rebounds, and dished out a pair of assists on the afternoon. David Teibo was efficient from the floor, shooting 4-6 for nine points while pulling down six rebounds.
The Eagles will not play again until mid-December when they head down to Maricopa County for the Cactus Classic. ERAU will play three games December 18-20, including a showdown with 5th-ranked Carroll College to close out the event.
