Box Score CHANDLER, ARIZ. – The Embry-Riddle men's basketball team had a chance to see how they match up with a national title contender on Monday afternoon, taking on second-ranked Carroll. Even though the team battled hard, they could not overcome the Saints' experience and fell in its final game of the Cactus Classic.
Conner Verdugo had another efficient shooting night, making five of his nine shots from the floor for 17 points. He also hit 66.7% of his three-point attempts, and got to the free throw line seven times during the afternoon.
Trevor Weir also had a good night shooting, going four of seven and getting to the free throw line six times. Demari Hackett made the most of his 12 minutes on the day, grabbing seven rebounds and adding four points.
The Eagles hit the road once again next week, traveling to California to close out the calendar year. ERAU will face off again Hope International on December 30 in Fullerton, then head to Costa Mesa to match up with Vanguard on New Year's Eve afternoon.
