ANGWIN, CALIF. – The Embry-Riddle men's basketball team had to wait an extra week for its Cal Pac opener, but finally got its conference play under way on Saturday night against Pacific Union. The Eagles led by three with 2:18 remaining, but could not hold on as they fell to the Pioneers on Saturday night.

David Teibo recorded a double-double on Saturday, scoring 20 points and grabbing 16 rebounds. Teibo had another efficient shooting night, going 8-11, and snagged eight rebounds apiece on each end.

Trevor Weir was also able to post a double-double, adding 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Eagles. Weir went six for 11 from the floor, and added a steal to go along with his busy night.

Four of the five Eagle starters finished with double-digit points, with the Verdugo twins each scoring over ten on the night. Conner put in 13 points, and Chase was able to add 11.

The Eagles will get back on the floor on Monday when they take on Cal State Maritime to wrap up the road trip. Tip-off from Vallejo, Calif. is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. AZ time.
